How do they work?
Ordinary ballpoint pens rely on gravity to feed the ink and there is an opening in the refill to allow air to replace the ink as it is used.

Fisher Space Pen refills are completely sealed and pressurised with liquid nitrogen which feeds the ink to the ball point. They do not need gravity to work which is why they can write in any position - sideways and even upside down. echo"

Because they are completely sealed they will never leak - no more ruined shirts or jackets ! They they will not dry out like ordinary pens where the ink is exposed to the air giving them a shelf life of 100 years instead of one to two years like ordinary ballpoint pens.

The ink in Fisher Space Pens is a special visco-elastic semi-solid ink and as the ultra-hard tungsten carbide ball rotates, it liquefies the ink allowing it to write smoothly and dependably on most surfaces, even under water.
