The Classic Series from Platinum in Japan is a 2017 release of traditionally made iron gall inks. In Japan the term 'classic' when applied to fountain pen inks refers to the classic or traditional way of making fountain pen inks. Platinum's Classic inks go on the page as fairly bright colours with some black shading and will gradually over several months, change completely to black. They are highly water resistant and permanent inks.
